Clinics & Services

We run a range of clinics. For an appointment or further information regarding clinics then please, contact us at the practice.

Immunisation

All children are immunised at weekly clinics by the health visitors. Development assessments are performed by the doctor with the health visitor in attendance. The health visitors can help with advice on health care, particularly for expectant mothers, babies and small children, the elderly and the disabled. The health visitors can be contacted on 01554 755356.

Maternity

We undertake full maternity care, both antenatal and postnatal. Our midwives offer help and advice throughout pregnancy and will care for mother and baby during the postnatal period in the home.

Minor Surgery

This clinic is held weekly for injections, aspirations, incisions, cautery (by cryosurgery) and other lesions requiring removal.

Family Planning

We offer a full contraceptive service to our patients, including fitting of coils. Special appointments may be required, so please discuss this with the receptionist.

Cervical Smears

The practice nurse will carry out all smear examinations. Women should have this done every three years and appointments made by a computer recall system are posted to those women whose smear is due.

Chronic Disease Management

Clinics are run to advise on asthma, heart disease, diabetes and hypertension. Patients are invited to attend for assessment, planning treatment regimes, support and education.

Influenza Vaccination

An influenza vaccination programme is in operation every autumn to ensure that all ‘at risk’ patients receive appropriate immunisations.

Health Checks

Patients are invited to request a consultation with their doctor annually aged 75 years and over and every 3 years when aged under 75 years.
